My career in design started off by being thrust head-first into the New York City ad world. My time in the city was eye-opening and I got a unique perspective of what big agency life was all about. Big money, big accounts and big egos dominated this scene and I quickly realized that as a creative, I didn't have very much control over the message I was sending. When I returned home to finish college, I knew I wanted something different.
Being outside and making art have both had a tremendous impact on my life from a very early age. After I graduated with my degree in advertising from the Univeristy of South Carolina, I knew I still wanted to be a visual communicator, but I didn't want to give up my life outdoors in pursuit of a career.
Eventually, my family found Jackson, WY which has proved to be the prefect place to live a creative and active life.
My work is inspired by the outdoors and adventure and those types of clients are the ones I truly love to work with.
